Last night I had one of my top ten best ideas ever. It was time to cut into the top layer of our wedding cake…one year later at 8:28 PM (8/28 is our wedding day). Perfect timing.

YUM! Flavor? Marble. Apparently, while wedding planning last year I was so busy that I forgot red velvet is my absolute favorite. Oh well, it cake and it was good!

In the picture below, I’m showing that my arm still works for cake eating purposes after burning it with boiling water straight from the pot. Yep, that happened. Luckily, the doctor said I was the smartest patient ever and did the right “procedure” after being burned. It ended up only being a first degree burn…in his words, “like a bad sunburn.”
